SECOND BRIDGE INTO AFGHANISTAN IN GBAO TO BE PUT INTO OPERATION IN EARLY JULY</I> - 2004-06-29

According to Tajik sources, the second of a series of bridges across the Panj River in Gorno Badakhshan that will consolidate permanent overland links between Tajikistan and Afghanistan will be put into operation on July 5 or 6. The bridge-inaugurating ceremony is expected to be attended by senior representatives from the AKDN and the two governments.
