Aga Khan in Dar today-1997-03-13

The Spiritual leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community, His Highness the Aga Khan arrives in Dar es Salaam today as part of his week-long visit to East African countries.

A statement issued in the city yesterday said the spiritual leader would be received at the Dar es Salaam International Airport by President Benjamin Mkapa and other government officials.

While in the country, His Highness the Aga Khan is expected to review progress on construction of the Aga Khan School's multi-purpose hall and visit the new Diamond Trust Bank premises in the city.
